editing

I offer expertise in refining, shortening, fact-checking, and enhancing all types of writing—whether it's poetry, essays, fiction, memoirs, academic papers, or business content (B2B/B2C, client briefs, CVs). As an editor, writer, and team lead in AI training and Large Language Models (NLP), I’ve led teams focused on quality control and management. I've edited for respected literary journals, and as an award-winning poet, I’ve contributed to both poetry and acclaimed fiction. I’ve also overseen numerous projects, ensuring the right voice, style, tone, diction and clarity. Here’s my LinkedIn.

writing and translation

I have three successful creative publications to my name, including a French-to-English translation project. As an award-winning writer, I’ve been mentored by some of the world’s best, such as Don Paterson, Alan Gillis, Miriam Gamble, Patrick James Errington, Ranjit Hoskote, Sandra Simmonds, and Alvin Pang. Currently, I’m working on a novel and a Hindi-to-English translation. My experience also includes ghostwriting memoirs, editing manuscripts, cultural journalism, crafting content and copy, writing for AI language training, and creating website copy. I hold an MSc in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh.

workshops and mentoring

Every great poet goes through an essential period of apprenticeship. The right mentor helps cultivate self-awareness, a vital element that lies at the heart of every poetic work.

I’ve had the privilege of mentoring poets preparing their debut collections, guiding them through the many facets of verse-making that shape a well-rounded and powerful book: tone, voice, style, structure, form, diction, as well as the intricacies of the line and stanza. My mentorship extends beyond craft to the business side of writing: navigating the publishing world, identifying the right publishers, and mastering the art of submitting poems to journals and full manuscripts to presses. I was fortunate to have Don Paterson as my mentor through the New Writers Award program, a privilege that deeply shaped my own journey.

Workshops are an excellent format for focusing on individual poems, and I’ve had the privilege of participating in some transformative ones led by Alan Gillis, Patrick James Errington, and Miriam Gamble during my time at the University of Edinburgh. These experiences, along with the deep mutual respect between student and mentor, taught me invaluable lessons in poetic pedagogy and artistic instruction. I would love to pass this knowledge and care on to you.
